This privacy policy applies to the FaceMax app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Antony Starkov (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as
- Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
- The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
- The time spent on the Application
- The operating system you use on your mobile device
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.
For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that the Service Provider request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.
Face Data Collection and Usage
The Application collects images of users’ faces (“face data”) solely to provide ratings and feedback on facial features. The face data is processed as follows:
- Collection: Users provide face images (selfies) via the camera or photo library access. The Application does not extract or store any biometric information from these images.
- Use: The images are used exclusively to provide ratings and feedback on facial features. The images are sent to OpenAI, which generates a response containing the requested ratings and suggestions for improvement.
- Third-Party Sharing: Face images are shared with OpenAI for the purpose mentioned above. OpenAI does not collect or store these images. The images are temporarily stored in Firebase Storage (located in the us-central1 region), and the responses from OpenAI are stored in Firebase Firestore.
- Retention: Images are retained in Firebase Storage for a maximum of one month and are then deleted.
- Consent: The Application requests access to the device’s camera or photo library to collect face images. By granting this access, users consent to the collection and processing of face data as described in this policy.
Third Party Access
The Service Provider shares certain data with third-party service providers to facilitate the functionality of the Application and to provide a better user experience. Below are the details of these third-party services and their handling of data:
